NMRA
In 2005 DENSO will pierce its second year as the title sponsor of the NMRA (National Mustang Racers Association) DENSO Iridium Power Ford Drag Racing Series. This is the premier series in the world for Ford drag racing. In association with the series, DENSO will also sponsor Larry "Mr unclose Comp" Geddes for the fourth consecutive year. In 2004 Gedde captured his next to the first straight Open Comp Class Championship. In the same series, DENSO has also added sponsorship agreements with Real way Class stalwart "Uncle" Robin Lawrence and former champion Justin Burcham.
PRO series
DENSO continues its support of all-makes American muscle car drag racing in 2005 with a third consecutive year as title sponsor of the Pro public way Class in the PRO Drag Racing Series. In 2004 this highly competitive class featured series 2004 Rookie of the Year Tim O'Hare and 2004 Ambassador of the Year Steve Miller.
Sport compact drag racing
In the sport compact arena, DENSO will continue its sponsorship of championship NHRA (National passionate Rod Association) and NDRA (NOPI Drag Racing Association) racers of the like kind as 2003 NDRA Pro 4 Cylinder Points Champ and 2001 NHRA heated Rod Champion Jojo Callos of Team Tactics.
