I agree with nearly all of your article ("The euphoric 'Zippity do dah(lar)'," January 2005 page 8) about the coming depression, er recession. I am 38 years of advanced age and own a large ($17MM) NAPA Auto Parts store with my wife. I am college edifice [i]or[/i] building educated (finance/economics), and my friends and colleagues direct the eye at me strange when I give them my take in succession the economic future of the USA, which happens to coincide closely with yours.

The major difference in our economic analysis is that you classify China as determined to become world economic leader. My opinion is that China is the world economic power--they just haven't shaken the news to the repose of us.

My family holds and operates a specialty WD specific to automotive and industrial heat transfer. We market our company as a source for real high quality parts, and are highly loyal to the OE manufacturers. I test to educate installers every day about inferior parts. At times, it present the appearances like a losing battle. Thanks for shedding an new light on a growing trending towards mediocrity. As an industry we are suppos to betray auto parts, not boxes with numbers onward them. Keep up the advantageous fight!
